Privacy policy
Who this is
This is the personal portfolio of Mohit Karwal, a brand and growth marketer based in Mumbai, India. This policy covers the website at workwithmohit.com: what it collects, why, and how you can control it. Questions go to karwal.mohit@gmail.com.
What this site collects
There are no accounts, no passwords, no purchases, and no contact form on this site. It collects information in two ways.
1. Automatically, through hosting
This site is hosted on Netlify, which logs standard technical data for every visitor — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring page — for security and performance purposes, under Netlify’s own privacy policy.
2. Through analytics
This site uses two analytics tools:
- Google Analytics 4 — measures how many people visit, which pages they read, and which channels brought them. It uses cookies and similar identifiers.
- Microsoft Clarity — produces heatmaps and records anonymised session replays: a reconstruction of mouse movement, scrolling and clicks during a visit, used to understand which parts of a page people actually read. Clarity masks text input by default. No recording is tied to a name or an email address, because this site never asks for either.
Neither tool is used to build an advertising audience from this site, and no advertising or remarketing pixels are installed here.
Cookies
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity each set cookies or similar identifiers to recognise a returning browser and stitch a visit together. You can block or clear these at any time through your browser settings, or opt out directly:
Sending a Global Privacy Control signal or a Do Not Track header from your browser is also respected by these providers where they support it.
What this information is used for
- To understand which work and case studies people actually read.
- To see which sources — search, LinkedIn, direct — bring visitors.
- To find and fix layout or navigation problems.
It is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used to contact you. There is no mailing list.
How long it is kept
Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default. Microsoft Clarity retains session data for up to 30 days. Netlify’s server logs follow Netlify’s own retention schedule.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, UK, or a jurisdiction with comparable law, you can ask what data relates to you, ask for it to be deleted, or object to its collection. Email karwal.mohit@gmail.com and it will be actioned. Because this site collects no name or email, in practice there is usually nothing that can be linked back to you as an individual.
Changes
If a tracking tool is added or removed, this page is updated to match. The effective date at the top reflects the last change.
